Shipping and insured delivery

Dispatch

In-stock pieces are dispatched within 72 hours of cleared payment.

Shipments leave Monday through Thursday only. Insurance will not cover a package sitting in the carrier network over a weekend, so nothing goes out on a Friday — a piece ready on a Friday ships the following Monday.

Sourced stones and commissioned work ship on a date agreed with you in writing. The search or the bench time sets that date, not the order date — a specific hue in a specific size can take weeks to find. If the date is going to slip, I will tell you before it does and give you a revised one. You can accept it or cancel for a full refund.

Carriage and insurance

Domestic shipping is free and released only against a signature.

Shipments up to $150,000 travel FedEx overnight, insured to that value per box. Above $150,000 a piece is carried by Malca-Amit, a specialist secure carrier for high-value goods. Either way the piece is insured for its full value the entire time it is out of my hands.

Pieces ship to the billing address unless another address is arranged in advance. I do not authorize carrier redirects once a package is moving, and nothing is released without a signature.

International

International shipping is flat rate. Transit times vary by destination and are tracked with the number you are sent. Import duties, taxes and customs charges are the buyer’s.

I do not ship to destinations affected by armed conflict, sanctions, or acute economic instability, and which destinations those are changes. If yours is one of them you will hear so before any payment is taken.

Risk in transit

Risk of loss stays with KK Diamonds until the carrier records delivery to the signature address. It passes to you at that point.

Damage or loss

If a piece arrives damaged, tell me within 48 hours of delivery. Photograph the piece and every part of the packaging, and keep the packaging until the claim is settled — the insurer will ask for it. Claims raised after 48 hours, or without the packaging, may not be recoverable.

If a package does not arrive at all, contact me and I will open a trace the same day.
