A piece that gets worn is a piece that wears. Prongs thin. Clasps fatigue. Rhodium dulls. A stone that has sat secure for thirty years begins to move in its setting long before it ever falls out.
Most pieces arrive here for one of two reasons: something has already broken, or something was about to and you caught it. The second is the better reason to come. A prong retipped costs a fraction of a stone replaced.
Every piece is inspected before any work is quoted — not only the visible damage, but the structure beneath it. You will hear what I found, what needs doing now, what can wait, and what I would leave alone. If a repair would cost more than the piece is worth to you, I will tell you that as well.

- Prong retipping, rebuilding and straightening
- Stone tightening, resetting and replacement
- Clasp, hinge and catch repair
- Ring sizing, up or down, and full shank rebuilds
- Rhodium plating and refinishing
- Polishing, and the restoration of worn detail
- Chain, solder and structural repair
- Redesign and resetting of pieces no longer worn
The work is carried out by the same master setters and bench jewelers who execute the bespoke commissions. Pieces are received by appointment or by insured shipment, and returned the same way.
Heirlooms are a different conversation
An inherited piece carries two things at once — what it is, and what it meant. Restoration done well protects both. Done badly, polished and modernized until the marks that date it are gone, it quietly erases the second.
So before anything is touched, I will tell you which pieces should be restored, which are better conserved exactly as they are, and which are honestly better served by moving the stones into something you would wear. That last conversation happens more often than people expect, and there is no wrong answer to it.
